Finally, an update!

I apologize for not updating in a while. We went on our annual trek to the great white north, which was a welcome relief when it comes to humidity, or the lack of it! We had a great two weeks with our family, and the VERY few friends we got to see. We wanted to catch up with more, but it's amazing how quickly that time passes. Our trip began Sunday June 26 with Brendan pulling a communion table down on his head. He looked like the elephant man in a matter of seconds with the goose egg he had. Thankfullly, we had a number of nurses and doctors there who said he would be just fine. I hope that is the worst thing that ever happens to him, because it scared about 10 years off my life. We left Sunday to head north, and Monday our car broke down in Amma, West Virginia. If you look on a map, it is there, but little else surrounds it. We were stuck on the side of the road in 100 degree heat for two hours. 7 hours later, we made it on the road again. The rest of the trip went off without a hitch. We really enjoyed our time with everyone and wish it happened more regularly. We miss family terribly and miss our friends just as much. Our kids loved seeing the extended family and still talk about the trip every day, asking where everyone is. It definitely is a highlight of our summer. Life slows down until school starts. This year Brendan will go to school every day for the morning. He keeps growing up, and I can't seem to figure out how that happens so quickly. Cecelia is as smart as a whip! She continues to scare me with her intelligence. One day in the car she counted all the way to ten without any prompting. Have no idea where she learned it. She has the personality of ten kids and shows the strength of the women in my familly. That will be one girl to reckon with. I'm so prooud of her! I will hopefully be able to update a little more regularly. Our digital camera has called it quits on us. So we are in the market for a new one. As soon as that happens, more pics will follow. We miss and love you all. I am putting pics on that came from our vacation along with some others that I finally figured out how to download from my hotmail account. Keep in touch!
