Terribly Terrific Two's!

Cecelia turned two in the company of great friends this past weekend. She had an absolute blast, playing in the pool, eating cake, decorating Uncle Matty, and becoming her favorite character, Dora the Explorer. We had a few friends over and just had some good ole two year old fun. Thank you everyone who celebrated with us. Both Brendan and Cecelia practically burst with joy when everyone was over.
It's hard to believe that they years fly by so quickly. Cecelia just continues to blossom as she grows. Her personality is very silly and charming. She brings lots of laughter to both me and Gary. With each passing day, she and Brendan become closer and closer. They play together a lot now, and seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company. They each ask where the other is if they aren't around. It makes my heart burst with joy to see their friendship develop.
Brendan is doing very well in school. He gets good notes home all the time. Gary and Brendan are going to be traveling to Pittsburgh, just the boys, next week. I am a little nervous to see them go, but I know they will have a blast. Every day Brendan wakes up asking, "is it time for Nana's house yet?" He knows he is going to have nothing but fun there, so he is anxious to go. Cecelia and I will spend a quiet "girls" weekend together. A little mommy/daughter bonding time before the new baby comes.
Speaking of the new baby, things are progressing nicely. I have an appointment this Monday. I am officially into my second trimester. Crazy! I know that it is going to be hard at first with the new one, but I know the future with them is going to be so much fun!
