Summertime!

Summer is in full swing here at the Wieder home. The kids have been enjoying the warm weather, playing outside and swimming in our little pool. We haven't been to the beach too much yet, but after hearing about the drowning on Pawleys, I can't say that I mind. We'll probably go this weekend though. And I'll be a nervous wreck the whole time!! I may follow Matt's advice and get the kids life jackets.
Gary heads out to camp this coming week with junior high kids. He'll be gone for 6 days, and I will be home alone with all three kids. Brendan has VBS next week as well, which will be nice for him to have his mornings filled with something fun to do. I wish they let Cecelia's age in like they used to, but I guess she'll just have to wait. I'll figure out something fun for her to do.
Life with three kids has been so full and challenging. However, little Teddy has blessed me by being the FIRST kid to sleep all through the night before 6 months of age!! I jokingly keep telling him he's my favorite, simply because he doesn't do anything wrong yet, like hit, wrestle, not listen, or push. I know he will eventually, but for now, I enjoy his stationary status.
Cecelia had her first play date at a friend's house the other day. She was there for three hours!! She came home in one piece and seemed glad to see me. She had a few moments at her friends, laying beside the front door crying for me, but it was a good experience over all. While she was gone, Brendan was home with me. After about an hour of her being gone, Brendan said, "I wish Cecelia was home." I asked him why, his response was, " Because she's my friend." It warmed my heart to think that these two really are becoming friends. I pray that that relationship really does bloom over the years.
