Uncle Jerry

After years of not seeing my Uncle, he came for a visit. The kids loved meeting him and it was nice to reconnect with family. Jerry came over the kids' spring break, and we talked about his travels around the world. When Brendan went back to school and was asked what he did over spring break, he told them "a man from China came to visit." So the teacher thought we had an exchange student with us. It took me a few weeks to figure out that he was talking about Jerry. Brendan even drew a picture of Jerry. It dawned on me that we had talked about where he had been, and China came up. That boy of mine doesn't miss a thing!
