This picture was taken about 5 minutes after we showed up at Gary's brother, Darren's, house. He met the girls, then proceeded to hand out the masks. They were VERY sweet and good with him. They played and humored him, letting Brendan pose them into these positions. These are their ninja positions.....
We had a great time at the wedding. It's alway so good to be around family. The really funny part was running into an old classmate of mine, Jeff Vorberger. He is the cousin of the groom. The bride, is Gary's niece. As I was walking out of our hotel, a kind man was holding the door for me and the kids, and that person turned out to be Jeff! I haven't seen him since some time in college, making it about 11 years. He is married to a beautiful girl and living in DC. It was nice to see an old familiar face at the wedding. The only bummer was not really being able to catch up and spend time with him. Having both kids in the wedding, and then all the traveling, they just weren't up for a long night of wedding partying. Perhaps another time.
Darren's daughter, Lauren, made an absolutely gorgeous bride. I can't wait to get some of the official pictures. Jessica, Lauren's sister, was the maid of honor, and was equally as beautiful. They are blessed to have such amazing young women for daughters. Hopefully we'll see them more in the future.
We miss everyone very much and loved being a part of the ceremonies.
