Lake Lure

We were VERY blessed to have a friend lend us their lake house for a few days over the 4th of July. Unfortunately, I was only able to get two pictures with the camera because we forgot to charge it before we left. But let me just say, it was probably the BEST little family vacation we have taken. The kids were awesome. They swam in the lake pretty much from sun up to sun down. Brendan learned how to kayak, and was AWESOME at it, a real natural. Cecelia just swam and swam and swam. They got to sleep in bunk beds, one of the highlights of their time. We boated, swam, sat in the sun, and just had a great time. Cecelia, who is our TOTAL home body, told us while we were up there that she wanted to move there and live there forever. A couple of weeks after we got back, she told me she wanted to go back to the lake. It was just the best. If we ever get the chance to go back I will make sure that the camera is charged. Oh yeah, and as we were told over and over again by the people that worked in the grocery store, people who boated on the lake, and pretty much anyone who was there....this is the same place that Dirty Dancing was filmed.....
